Since laying the foundation stone for its bus building facility at its humongous Chakan Manufacturing Plant near Pune, Mercedes-Benz has been conducting trial runs of its city buses in Karnataka.
The latest addition to its city bus trial runs is one of the largest planned cities in the country, which is going through major infrastructural development due to its close proximity to the Navi Mumbai International Airport. The new buses will run on the C.B.D to Bandra Railway Station route. Under the leadership of Chandrakant Aagonde, Chairman, N.M.M.T Mercedes will offer its buses to Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (N.M.M.T) for a trial period of one month to check technical stability and viability of the buses on city road conditions.
