Mahindra Launches the Mahindra Moto GP Racing Team

The Mahindra Group today officially introduced its MotoGP racing team – Mahindra Racing to the media along with its two rider line-up that will compete in the 125cc class for the 2011 MotoGP season. Alberto Strazzari, CEO of Engines Engineering, will be heading the project joined by Nicola Casadei who is Mahindra Racing’s Team Manager. Mahindra’s Mufaddal Choonia is handling the role of a Team Principal.
Engines Engineering is an Italian firm that specializes in developing motorcycles and it has been actively involved in the sport of MotoGP since 2003 developing race bikes for several teams and manufacturers. The Mahindra team confirmed during the launch that an all-new machine is ready for the upcoming tests to be held in February where the two riders will get their first taste of the new Mahindra racebike. With a strong backing from an automotive giant like Mahindra, there is certainly a strong sense of optimism and fervour the Mahindra Racing Team.
